L1T1 — Why This Learning Module, Why Now
You’ve already spoken with your doctor about your alcohol use. This learning module isn’t here to repeat what they said — it’s here so you can slow down, in your own time, and put it into your own words.
Going back to alcohol isn’t usually a single moment of starting alcohol. It’s usually a chain of small events — a mood (anxiety or depression or stress), a place (bar, hotel) , a person (friends, colleagues), a thought — that builds up before the first drink. If you can spot the early links in that chain, you have far more choices than if you wait until the urge to drink is already strong.
